The total duration of this evening course is 10 hours in 4 sessions.Each session is of 2.5 hours to be held during 10-13 May 2009 from 6:00pm - 9:00pm.
Readymade Garments is the major sector for earning foreign currency. About 75% foreign currency is earned by exporting readymade garments. Bangladesh government provides some benefits and incentives to the RMG sector to boost up exports. The financial institutions provides different pre-shipment and post shipment finance at lower interest rate to RMG industry for competing successfully in international markets. This course will cover different types of financing provided by Bank/Financial Institutions related to Export-Import business.
To disseminate the basic concepts of Documentary Credit, universal customs to the trainees & hands on practice of documentary credit.
To accustom the trainees with the practices followed by Banks in issuance of Letter of Credit, Scrutiny of documents, Lodgement of documents & retirement procedures.
To acquaint the participants with Pre & Post Import financing procedures.
To increase capacity of Trainees on Export finance and shipping documents.
To improve skill of trainees on Import/Export related jobs effectively & independently.

Essential Features of Import Chapter of GFET, Import Policy order
Procedure of getting different types of IRC from C.C.I.E. and renewal there against. Exemption of IRC.
Issuance/Registration/Maintenance of LCA form.
Opening of Cash L/C for both new & regular customer. Essential requirements for considering LC proposals. Add Confirmation & Performance Guarantee clause
Lodgment of shipping documents, scrutiny of the same & necessary measures required to be taken against regular and discrepant documents as per UCPDC.
Opening of BTB LC including EDF for New & Regular Customers.
Settlement of Import bills from regular exports or export fails.
Procedure & formalities of creating SOD.
Procedure for allowing Packing Credit & adjustment of the same.

Negotiation of Export Bills (Garments & Non Garments) against regular & discrepant documents as per UCPDC
