About Workshop


3D studio Max is a powerful tool to Create 3D character Animation and Game figure/props Creation and development.

How participants will benefit after the course
We will provide the technical know how of character animation and game poly and props animation with in Max; which is a highly recognized Animation and gaming tool. The students shall achieve the basic knowledge about Character animation and low poly game character creation system. In current Bangladesh which is unavailable but have a high demand both for inshore and offshore markets. Otherwise this short course will provide the basic Idea of Character animation which shall fill up the vacuum in Bangladesh Animation & advertising sector.

Workshop topics to be covered:

Day 01: 3D Max Fundamentals Box, Sphere Create etc.
-Fundamental Concept About 3d Environments,
-Core Idea on vertex, edge, face, element
-Basic Standard and compound objects
-Basic animation Moving, Rotation, Scale
-Basic Lighting application
-Basic material application on a 3D Object.

Day 02: Basic Modeling Methods
-Line tools: Create Extruding Spline, Beveling Splines, Lofting Splines
-Mesh tool: Boolean Objects etc. Edit mesh, Edit poly Manipulation of on vertex, edge, face, element
-Basic use of bridging, summitry, connect poly vertex

Day 03-04: Figure building
-The “impact” on figure building
-Methodology of Face generator
-Core use of bridging, summitry, connect poly vertex Extrude, Bevel, chamfer a polybox
-How to create a figure
-Create Face, hands, legs, chest, Hip
-Join up elements
-“Multires” and “Meshsmooth”

Day 05: Material Apply
-Using Bitmaps a Material.
-UVW mapping
-Unwrap and edit UVW
-Apply bitmap as texture to figure
-Apply garment to figure
-Deep paint and Z-brush overview

Day 06-07: Biped Setup And Physique Apply
-Creating a Biped Using, sizing, proper position and physique apply
-Adjustment of envelope
-Make the head rigid
-How to blend rigid and deformation
-Load and save biped
-A brief on motion capture

Day 08: Character Animation
-A brief introduction on plug-ins
-Apply Mussle
-Creation of facial expression
-A brief introduction to bones
-Manipulation of bones with IK/HK solver.
-Load biped file, footstep adjust, save biped file.

Day 09: Light And Camera Animation
-Creating light
-Light Properties
-Shadow control
-Perspective and Camera view
-Aperture control
-Camera parameters
-Animate Camera

Day 10: Set Creation
-Basic set creation
-Environmental set creation
-X ref scene management and apply for set direction.
-A brief introduction Lighting on set
-A brief introduction Character on set
-A brief introduction Camera on set
-Render and saving files for different format
