About Workshop


Most of the business organisations have started working based on projects. As a result project management has become a significantly demanding profession. However, as project management is a relatively new knowledge area, most of the project managers lack sound project management skills as well as know-how on managing projects using technology. This course will provide both the fundamental concepts of project management as well as sound skills on Microsoft Excel for project management.

Session 3: Project Quality Planning using Excel
Work-break-down structure in Excel
Project Specification and team database
Share project specification information
Develop specification monitoring system

Session 4: Project Scheduling using Excel
Identify overall planned project completion period
Dividing project in phases and determine phase times
Prepare GANTT Chart and Milestone Chart
Share Scheduling information with Management

Session 5: Project Costing and Budgeting using Excel
Identify phase-by-phase cost of projects
Identify overall cost of projects
Prepare project cash flow over time
Prepare project budget over resources and tasks

Session 6: Project Risk Management using Excel
Identify potential project risks
Assess impact of each risk on quality, time and cost
Conduct risky scenario analysis
Manage risk using Excel features
