Course Description
Microsoft Project is the most widely used project management application around the globe and has become an integral part of the project management discipline. Today’s project managers need high level of skills in planning, controlling and communicating their projects using Microsoft Project. This course will provide the participants with the required skills needed to face challenging tasks of project management and excelling their careers in this professional discipline.
At the end of the course the participants will be able to demonstrate the following skills and abilities:
(1) Understand the fundamental project management philosophy applied in developing Microsoft Project;
(2) Identify and conceptualise every components of the new ribbon-based fluent interface of Microsoft Project 2010;
(3) Customise the Microsoft Project interface for local working hours and specific organisational scheduling scopes;
(4) Break-down the project, create project tasks and import tasks from Excel files;
(5) Setup and assign work (labour), cost (overheads) and material resources to project tasks;
(6) Prepare complete project plan including GANTT chart, critical path, , format and share the plans in printed or digital format;
(7) Track the project progress and communicate project performance reports;
(8) Fine-tune project tasks, resources and assignment details;
(9) Organise project details, track progress on tasks and assignment;
(10) View project progress report and get project back on track.
