Curriculum & Material Development for Trainers/Educators using VAK Method

Introduction

Every human being is different. Each individual is unique in terms of every single element in life. Human mind and cognition is a complex stature. It is obvious that different minds think differently and respond to different types of engagements. As a learner each person has a very unique way of comprehension and grasping. And this is because they have different learning needs and learning styles. The VAK Learning Styles Model was developed by psychologists in the 1920s to classify the most common ways that people learn. According to the model, most of us prefer to learn in one of three ways: visual, auditory or kinetic (although, in practice, we generally "mix and match" these three styles). In every group of student, trainee, learners, we will get combination of all types of learners. It is important and crucial to have different types of material, method, instruction and involvement in the session and program in order to make it an active learning session.
