Introduction

It can feel really terrifying standing up in front of others as the 'EXPERT'. People expect a lot from a trainer when they go on a course, and a 'typical' training puts people to sleep. Spending two days for this training will help you as a trainer - to keep your participants awake - guaranteed! Plus you will be able to successfully transfer the target amount of learning that will make your audience satisfied and keep them coming back for more and more of your sessions.

No matter what kind of training you do - sales, IT skills, financial planning, commercial awareness, interpersonal skills, shop floor skills - you need to be well prepared and able to handle whatever happens in the training room with panache, flair and professionalism. This training will help you to develop a systematic and effective approach to learning and development. Methodology

The training will be designed and managed by Ms. Parveen S. Huda and she will invite Guest Resource Persons who are subject matter specialists to take some of the sessions. - Question and answer session, interactive lecture, PowerPoint Presentation.

Day ONE: Running the room effectively and using your Personal Style
- Understanding group dynamics
- Identifying your personal training style and staying true to it
- Working the room
- Turning the volume up and down
- Setting the tone
- Using anecdotes and personal stories to exemplify your training work
- Knowing how to treat those in the room
- Animation - knowing when to turn it up and down
- Dealing with difficult participants and situations

Day TWO: Observing and adapting with the learning Styles of Participants
- Discover your ability to actually see what's going on in the room
- Removing yourself from proceedings
- Knowing your own behavior
- A look at patterns and beliefs
- Realizing that everyone sees things differently
- Seeing and dealing with sudden changes within your training environment
- Recognizing and dealing with potentially undermining situations
- An opportunity to play out or rehearse specific scenarios
- Designing a Training based on Audience Specifications
- Wrap up and review

Parveen Sultana Huda

Managing Director

Parveen is one of the widely recognized professional of Bangladesh with 23+ years of experience in the Human Resources and Project Management fields with leading organizations both as a professional and consultant. She is currently working as the Project Manager for a project titled Digital RMG Factory Mapping – Bangladesh (DRFM-B), implemented by Centre for Entrepreneurship Development (CED) of BRAC University.
She recently received an award as a “People Trainer” from BASIS on their International Women’s Day celebration organized by BASIS Women’s Forum in 2017. She has received an MBA degree from IBA, DU and is a regular trainer at the MDP program in IBA (including ACBA, HRMC, ANFP, & EMBA courses). She obtained a Diploma in Management Consultancy from Institute of Management Consultants, Bangladesh (ICMB). She has received an Australian Government Fellowship offered by the Department of Foreign Affairs and Trade (DFAT) to attend a 3 weeks course in Australia titled “Women Empowerment through Entrepreneurship, Innovation and Sustainable Development in Nepal and Bangladesh”; organized by the University of Southern Queensland in November 2015. She has attended the 14th Informal ASEM Seminar on Human Rights – Human Rights & Business, held during 18-20 November, 2014 in Hanoi, Vietnam as a sponsored participant from Bangladesh. She has completed the Partnership Brokering Course Level One Certification from The Partnering Initiative (TPI) of International Business Leaders Forum (IBLF), UK. She had received an ILO scholarship to attend a training program at the ITC (International Training Centre) of ILO on Turin, Italy in May, 2009. She is an ITC (Geneva) Certified Supply Chain Management Trainer for DCCI, Bangladesh. In addition she has attended various training and conferences in UK, Australia, Italy, Thailand, South Korea, UAE, Kenya, South Africa, Vietnam, Malaysia, Nepal, India and Sri Lanka.


Parveen started her own consulting firm – Renaissance Consultants Ltd. – in 2006 and has so far provided HR Development & Management, Organizational Development, Project Management and Business Development support to various local and international clients. She has worked for some reputed foreign organizations including the Asia Indigenous People’s Pact Foundation (Thailand), British Council, RTI International (USA), PwC (PricewaterhouseCoopers LLC, UK), Agro-Inputs Project (AIP funded by USAID’s Feed the Future program), ILO, GIZ (previously GTZ), ITC (International Trade Centre – Geneva), ActionAid Vietnam, ActionAid Pakistan, etc. Before becoming a full time consultant – she worked for various organizations for 12 years. She last worked full time as the Head - HR & IT in ActionAid Bangladesh. She also worked in CARE Bangladesh, OTOBI Ltd., Square Pharmaceuticals Ltd., and BEXIMCO group in reverse chronological order since 1994.

With her Human Resources Development focus – she is capable of designing and implementing skill development programs for multiple sectors and has worked closely with the Ready Made Garments, Construction and Pharmaceuticals Industry. Her special niche is working with Cross Sector Partnerships – especially between business and development sectors. She has been providing public training through DCCI, MCCI, www.bdjobs.com and other training institutes since 1999 and teaching at private universities in their Business Administration departments since 2000.

Currently she is working as the Project Manager for DRFM-B (Digital RMG Factory Mapping - Bangladesh, responsible for the overall implementation of the project. This is a 4-year project being implemented by the Centre for Entrepreneurship Development of BRAC University, coordinated by BRAC USA. Its major fund (75%) is being given by C&A Foundation. This project aims to develop a consensus of the total number of factories that are working in the Ready Made Garments sector in Bangladesh and develop a digital map which will be accessible in the public domain. She has been validated as a Core Skills trainer for the British Council’s Global Education Programme – Connecting Classrooms III and contacted for conducting training for Government school teachers since 2015. She worked as the Deputy Policy Advisor for the DFID & SDC initiative titled Skills and Employment Programme – Bangladesh (Sudokkho) at its inception phase for 16 months. Parveen is also a pioneer practitioner of Inclusive Business in Bangladesh, as she has completed 3.5 years as the Country Manager, Bangladesh of Business Innovation Facility (www.businessinnovationfacility.org ), which is a UKAID funded project managed by PricewaterhouseCoopers UK.
