Current fire safety legislation requires a risk based regime in organizations with a nominated competent person overseeing fire safety management. Fire and safety training courses give a basic idea about workplace safety and health practices, and the various ways to follow them.

On completion of the course you will be better able to:

• Identify hazards and any fire safety management deficiencies
• Advise on improvements to control measures in reducing the risk of fire
• Advise of fire fighting access requirements
• Confidently conduct effective fire risk assessments
• Compile fire risk assessment reports
• Compile and manage fire emergency plans

Mr. Mohammad Shafiqul Islam is a proficient Health, Safety and Environmental (HSE) Professional and over 9 years experience as a Senior Safety Engineer in industrial facilities in conjunction with MSc in Environmental Engineering & Management, B.Sc. in Chemical Engineering and an International Diploma in Occupational Safety and Health (Distinction).
He is a versatile HSE all-rounder as well as a risk specialist, and an accomplished communicator. His core competency includes Risk and HSE Engineering, HSE Management System Implementation, Compliance Audits, Training, Emergency and Disaster Management, Incident Investigation & Root Causes Identification, Implementation of ISO 14001 & OHSAS 18001, Environmental impact Assessment and Management Plan, Emissions and Waste Management.
He has the range and depth of experience to help make major commercial and operational decisions and deliver against corporate policy on safety, environmental and sustainable development issues.

He is a certified lead auditor of Integration Management System (ISO 9001, ISO 14001 and OHSAS 18001) and team leader for Taproot incident investigation. He is also experienced in managing the EHS issues to ensure compliance with international guideline such as Health and Safety Executive (EHS), United States Environmental Protection Agency (USEPA), World Bank, American Society for Testing and Materials (ASTM), American Public Health Association (APHA), World Health Organization (WHO), Association of Oil and Gas Producer (OGP) and International Association of Geophysical Contractors (IAGC) etc.
