Project planning and management refers to planning and overseeing the tasks necessary to achieve a goal. Many projects experience problems at different stages before the project finalizes. Many projects are faced with challenges such as losing employees, missing deadlines or even running out of funds before the project concludes while others start but never reach completion. That is why two-day training on project planning, development and management has been developed.
Participants will learn about project management, an approach that goes beyond the nuts and bolts of traditional project management. The 2 days training also teaches basic general management and leadership skills that can help them plan and successfully lead complex strategic projects. Subsequently it also helps them how to apply techniques to run smoothly project operations.

Mohammed Zafor Ullah Nizam

Mr. Mohammed Zafor Ullah Nizam has more than 14 years of experience in Program Planning, Management and Development in diversified fields – Public Health; Child Rights; RH & RR; HIV/AIDS and drug abuse; Early Childhood Development; Community Engagement and Advocacy. In his professional tenure, he worked in “Promoting Talent through Early Education” of Save the Children and “Smiling Sun Franchise Program” of CHEMONICS both funded by USAID, “Accelerating Progress towards Maternal and Neonatal Mortality and Morbidity Reduction” of UNFPA; CRC project of Save the Children Australia; “Prevention of Transmission of HIV among Drug Users in SAARC Countries” of UNODC funded by AusAid and community based health program of BWHC funded by SIDA and CORDAID.
Mohammed Zafor Ullah Nizam has multi-disciplinary academic backgrounds having two post-graduations: 1) MPA in governance and public policy and 2) MPS in population sciences from Dhaka University and B. Sc (Honors) in forestry. He facilitated different trainings e.g. Project Planning and Management; Community Mobilization, Advocacy, Health Service Marketing; Team Building and Management; Monitoring and Supervision; Training Facilitation; Child Rights and Presentation Skill. In his trainings, participants were different categories including government, NGO, Local Government representatives and youth.
Mr. Zafor also took some international and national trainings e.g. Project Planning, Development and Management from Asian Institute of Management (AIM), Philippine; The Ecology of Childhood from IED, BRAC University; Basic Health Economics Issues in Bangladesh Health from Institute of Health Economics, DU; Scientific Writing from Population Council; Psychological First Aid during Emergency and Disaster Risk Reduction Preparation from SCI and Rapid Situation Response Assessment (RSRA) from UNODC.
