Introduction

Practical Project Management as the name suggests will give you the opportunity to learn and practice project management tools in a workshop environment. This course is designed in a participative format to introduce the attendees to end-to-end project management steps from idea generation to closing a project, learning the best practices and tools that enhances the chances of project success.

Mr. Hassan is certified Project Management Professional (PMP) with 10+ yrs experience in implementing projects across development and telecom sector delivering innovative payments systems, mobile innovations and driving revenue growth. He has a distinction in Strategic Project Management Erasmus Mundus of European Union with research orientation in the field of International Development Program. His expertise and proven deliveries has been in the fields of payments system development projects with Bangladesh Bank and DFID UK.

He has been key resource at Robi Axiata Limited as General Manager at Enterprise Program Management Office delivering biometric verification system, post-merger integration for Robi & Airtel, strategic revenue growth program, cost excellence program, outbound call center, Robi single app, among others. As project manager, he successfully managed nationwide Biometric NID Verification project that developed Biometric Verification System connecting with National ID database & created a channel of 50,000 retailers enabling 25 million people completing identification verification.

He has also worked as project monitoring expert in DFID’s Remittances and Payments Challenge Fund (RPCF) a Bangladesh Bank program designed to enhance financial inclusion in Bangladesh by introducing innovative remittance delivery systems and ensuring better utilization. He has designed, managed and/or monitored 100+ projects across different industries. He has trained 80+ resources of public and private organizations on project management practices.

Mr. Hassan has completed his MSc in Strategic Project Management (European Union Erasmus Mundus scholarship program) with Distinction from three European universities (Heriot-Watt, UK; Umea, Sweden and Polimi, Italy) and has an MBA from Institute of Business Administration (IBA). He has completed professional project management certification from Project Management Institute (PMI) in 2012. For more than a decade he has served reputed organizations like Robi, Citibank, Cardno UK Consultancy for Bangladesh Bank & DFID program RPCF and as Lecturer at Independent University of Bangladesh (IUB).
