Jhantu Kumar Bordhan

Manager Training, Community Empowerment Programme, BRAC

Jhantu has substantial experience in training. He has been working with BRAC in its Community Empowerment Programme as a Training Manager and has 29 years of working experience with BRAC in multiple programmes of which 18 years were in training programmes. He has proven experiences on determining training needs, design training courses, developing training modules and materials, preparing adequate lesson plans, implementing training courses, organizing and facilitating trainings and workshops, training class follow up, supporting supervision of trainers’ teams, partnership management in microfinance, loan capacity strengthening of partner NGOs, preparing training plans and develop training budget and budget analysis. He also has experience of managing partner projects’ training of BRAC with UNDP and Saferworld.

Additionally, he has extensive work experience (11 years) in BRAC as Program Organizer for Micro Finance, Accounts and Finance, Area Manager for Micro Finance, as a Senior Trainer in Partnership with local level NGOs in Micro-finance.

18 years experience where he completed over 100 training course designs, developed and facilitated important training functions like: Accounts Management, Financial Management, Savings and Credit Management, Module on Women Leadership for Community Base Organisation, Adolescent and Youth Group Life Skills, Operational Management Course (OMC) on Programme for Staffs, Participatory Budgeting for Union Parishad (UP) Representatives, Capacity Building for Union Parishad (UP) Representatives/Strengthening Local Governance , Right To Information (RTI), Social Awareness Rising, Stop Violence Initiatives (SVI) & Social Harmony

He has completed his Masters of Commerce, In Accounting from University of Chittagong.
